          and about 5 minutes later...

So this thing ran me only $280! I didnt have high hopes but after putting it together I am pleasantly surprised w/ the heft/durability. Full range report this weekend!

I pick up my GSG 1911-22 from Bolsa Gunsmothing on Monday. Dropped it off two weeks ago for a trigger job. While the stock trigger is very clean and crisp (considering the price point), it is still too heavy for my nine year old to engage smoothly. We're hoping to get it down to about 4lbs.

Will report when I get it back.

So a few notes on this new rifle...
                    1) my understanding is that this model (522) has a fake silencer that IS POST RECALL BATF approved and a bit heavier than the recalled version, with this said this gun is a bit front heavy.
                    2) this version (SDL) is 75$ cheaper than the version w/ the aluminum receiver. ($288 vs $360 out the door from budsgunshop.com) The bolt is self contained and at .22 caliber I don't see an issue here, since this is my squirrel killer and I wont be doing a tire test anytime soon, but the polymer upper shaves off nearly a whole pound, bringing this baby in at only 5.5 pounds-- my wife and daughter will be enjoying this for years!
                    3) NOT a tackdriver, but good groups about 3/4 inch @ 50 yards out of the box w/ iron sights. The rear sights had to be removed to accommodate the scope, thats a Barska 3x9 CQB w/ illuminated reticle.
                    4) She doesn't seem too finnicky about ammo so far, but remingon sub-sonics are my preferred stock, also eats federal and that crappy remington thunderbolt no prob.
                    p.s.- ITS tactical rules!

Very nice, I'll probably be going to start the process on a 522 PK tomorrow morning.

Are there any legalities concerning collapsible stocks? I saw a dealer's ad that stated it was illegal to ship them to CA.
