    peep sights for Remington 513-T

I picked up a Remington 513-T from the CMP, but it doesn't have any sights. I see the CMP sells front globe sights. My question is if I buy a different brand rear peep sight, will they work together properly? Also, does anyone know of other places I could buy peep sights for this rifle?

So far this is the only one i found:

Here are pics of the sight mounts installed on the rifle:

the williams sights are cr*p in my opinion.. I always replace them with the older Redfield sights... if you can find the Redfield International, Olympic, or Plama rear sight you will be good to go. I do have a Redfield International rear sight if you are interested. PM me for pics and info.

Like NRA said. The Williams are pretty cheesy.Personally the gun would warrant finding the correct sights.

That mount for the rear sight looks very much like the mount for a Lyman aperture sight that was on my Mossberg 44US. Might look at Lyman website or go over to rimfirecentral.com, register and ask the question over there.

          Link to Lyman:http://www.lymanproducts.com/lyman/sights/

Congrats on a nice rifle!! I've got two too. I ordered some on this last offering by the CMP, but wasn't lucky enough to get any (too slow to send the order in).

I have the Redfield 75 rear sight on my two. It is less expensive than the Olympic or International models. At least on Ebay when there aren't a ton of new CMP guys all looking for the same sight at the same time...LOL. I think the mounting screw size is different also between the rear sight mount you have and that which comes with the Olympic and Internation model rear sights. Definately go to the Rimfirecentral.com site and look in the Remington section....ton of info there. Use the search function for more specific questions you might have. http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums...splay.php?f=21 Mag sources are listed there too. I got some from Brownells.
