    Ruger Parts

know of any local places (So Cal, San Bernardino area) to get Ruger 10/22 parts? Like the auto bolt release and extended magazine release. Turners doesn't carry anything, bass pro doesn't have anything on the website.

You have any Gunsmith shops near you? Otherwise its mostly mail order.
Gun show coming up right after Thanksgiving at Costa Mesa Fairgrounds.(Cross Roads of the West) There are people there who will have some parts.

It's just better to order directly from Ruger. Here is their "parts" URL for what you need.

If anything, the link I put here will at least get you in the right direction for what you want. I've ordered 10/22 parts using the below link several times without any hassle at all. Notice that it's a different URL/website for their online parts ordering, than their traditional website of "ruger.com" But, never fear, it's a genuine RUGER company website!

      Hope this will help you:

I know J&R in Livermore has some 10/22 parts. They might have a auto bolt release. Might be worth giving them a call.

Sorry Livermore is way to far north for me, being in so cal. I don't want stock parts, Ruger doesn't make a auto bolt release or a extended lever magazine release. I guess I'll have to order it online. I'm just impatient, I hate waiting for goodies to show up at the doorstep.

                (they also carry volquartsen parts)

but...i live rurally so NO gun store is convenient for me.

Think I might give http://www.1022racerifle.com/ a try. They are in vegas so I should have it pretty fast.

The modification to the stock bolt release is really easy to do with a small file or a dremel. Ruger does make an extended bolt release. The original bolt release was flush with the stock, now it's at least a 1/2'' longer.

I personally order from MidwayUSA.com they have a good selection of hop up parts for the 10/22, great customer service, awesome return policy and ship fast.

^^^^^this, if you are thinking about replacing these parts anyway why not try to mod you OEM parts first....there is much info on slicking up your trigger group, bolt, etc. Online....

Midway USA ships really fast. They fill orders 7 days a week and mail small parts next day. You'll have parts in a couple days. There's a bunch of aftermarket parts suppliers. Try to google 10/22 parts or check rimfirecentral.com

Midway really is great with shipping. I went shooting a couple of weekends ago, found some parts I wanted, ordered on Monday, and was able to shoot with them that weekend
