    gsg 1911 concern?

new to shooting in Calif. purchased a gsg 1911, love the pistol, having hard time to find a place to shoot.. before fire season, went to bee canyon which is now closed. live in Temecula area. Rainbow range needs a sponsor to join which i don't have. A place called Dave's Rockpile has almost no information? any help would be appreciated. Gsg question- the screw that anchors the barrel will not stay tight after the slide has cycled a few times and the barrel always moves in the bushing. Replaced the bushing with an aftermarket one which is much tighter but still movement on the anchor screw. I must constantly tighten it. I cant imagine what shot grouping must be like. Any user opinions?

I had the same problem and over tightened the screw and stripped the threads. GSG sent a new barrel but I fixed the old one by placing a helicoil insert, a 3 mm screw from the hardware store that uses a 2.5 mm allen wrench. I pinged the barrel where it slides into the grip frame, so it fit tighter, and loctite the barrel into the grip frame.
