Completed? my 10/22 LTR last night.

I say completed with a ? because I know I will find some upgrade/mod down the road I can't live without.
    So far:
    new 10/22
    Tech sights TSR100
Volquartsen auto bolt realease and target hammer
    Uncle mikes sling swivels
GI sling from the Tech sights website

Took her shooting today with several different types of ammol to see what she likes.
So far, looks like cci mini mags and federal premium are the winner.
When I tried some winchester subsonic rounds, I had several failures to feed/eject and one stuck case before I tossed them aside for something else.
After shooting the subsonics, I had a problem with trigger reset. Once I got home I found that I could duplicate it by holding the trigger down while cycling the bolt. I need to apply some slight forward pressure to the trigger to get it to reset.
Sent off an email to Volquarsten today, waiting to hear what they have to say.
Gonna take it apart and clean it tomorow morning.
At first I was thinking that the subsonic rounds must of been extra dirty, but I only fired 6 of them, and that was after about 60 rounds of good ammo. Cleaned and lubed her up yesterday before I installed the hammer pack. She's had less than 200 rounds so far.

Anyone run into this after installing the Volquasten kit?

    It's nothing special,
    Just your standard 10/22 LTR.

    Well guarded of course.

You delivered, they withdrew their request? Nice looking LTR. I'm currently building a pair of 795's for the wife and me. I'm looking to try out the Winchester M-22 rounds.

Did you install the VQ springs along with the hammer? Ive read online that the Ruger springs are stronger and all around better to use (so it must be true). At any rate I would like to hear opinions on this as well. My VQ hammer kit is suppossed to come tomorrow, and Ive got Appleseed on Saturday. I would hate for my trigger to give me grief.

Try a good clean and lube of the trigger assembly. I had the same trigger issue with my TG2000 last week and a clean and lube seems to have fixed it so far. I have to add that I've had my trigger group for 3yrs before installing and didn't clean or lube it prior to shooting.

You're better off using the Ruger springs.

                  Nice setup!

I got an email back from Scott this morning saying to remove the volquertsen trigger return spring and put the ruger one back in.
Tore down and cleaned the gun while I had it apart. The ruger spring is longer, and the trigger now resets properly.
Going to try and go shooting next week to confirm the fix.

You will need a higher cheek rest if you use the tech sights on the ruger stock as they raise the line of sight considerably. I waited a long time to replace the ruger stock. I eventually added the hogue hard nylon over mold stock and I wish I had done it sooner.

                          Looks good.

If it shoots the mini mags OK I'd just go with those - they have a little more oomph and as the day wears on and your gun gets dirty you're less likely to have problems than with other ammo.

Nice 10/22, I love mine! One of the funnest rifles to shoot!
Check out the Alangator Tri-Mag adapter.
I have one and it just adds so much more fun to shooting th 10/22!
It takes 3 facrotry 10 rounds Ruger magazines and conects them together. Got mine on eBay for $15 bucks.
