Anyone buy a backordered item from Stockystocks.com?

Im looking at getting a new stock from them but it claims "don't backorder unless your waiting to wait for a minimum of 12-16 weeks." and for some reason i find it hard to believe but I don't want to wait THAT long. A month or so...sure? If I have to wait I will, but what is your experience with them?

It's really the only place i've found them for a good price for a lefty and actually looks nice.

Haven't ordered from them, but yes it could very well take 12-16 weeks. The companies making these stocks do them in batches,and for left handed that means smaller batches. Before Boyd's started regularly producing the Marlin 60/795 stocks they'd make a batch every 6 months and sell out in 2-5 days(they finally got a clue and started doing them regularly) and that was for right handed stocks. In some instances a company like this might not even make left handed stocks until they get enough ordered within the span of a couple months to warrant doing a batch of them.

(then there are custom stocks where you might be waiting 2-3 months because there are other customers ahead of you in line and there is only a small group of people actually doing the work)

hmmm makes sense. I might have to re think my options.
