    Buying Rifles Rule

    Hello,

I am new here. I just bought an MP15-22LR from Big 5. The guy said that I can buy a many rifles as I can without the one per 30-day rule. Also, he said that I can buy a rifle and also buy a handgun from another store the same day.

I know about the 30-day law for the handgun but is this also applicable to rifles?

    thanks

No, 1 in 30 does not apply to long guns - only handguns. Buy as many as you want. Most of us try and combine our rifle purchases into a single transaction just so we only have to pay the state fee once.

For once - and this is awesome - the gun shop gave the right advice!

Better yet, a sporting goods store gave the right advice! Congrats on the gun! Might be getting a 15-22 to go with the 5.56 AR.

Only other rule to remember is you can never have enough rifles. Plus the more you buy at one time you pay only one dros.

Where in San Diego are you? Also, look into getting your 03FFL for collecting curio & relics. Never under estimate the power of getting guns in the mail. Go check out the C&R forum for more info.
