How do you store/secure/lock up your Rimfire Firearms?

Hey all,

Building my first AR-15 and saw my local Big5 has a Marlin 795 on sale for 139.99. Also, they have a Secruity cabinet that can hold up to 8 long rifles as seen here.

Its 21"X10"X55" for $119 does this sound like a good deal? I havent really searched safes and stuff but did a few quick searches on here and didnt come up with much.

If there are some other safes/security cabinets that are a little more $ but far better then I'd pass on this and look into those. I dont think i'll get to 8 LR's but I would like to get a lever action and I dont want to just have them sitting out. Just wanted others opinions on it, if you have one please post!

So what do you guys think?

I have the 18 gun Stack on locker upstairs and a gun safe for down stairs.
I mostly just have ammo and a couple .22s and misc. items in the Stack-on because a stout screw driver could open it in a few seconds. But that's what I expected for under $300 and didn't really want to move the 800lb safe upstairs.

They're cool little cabinets. Not really going to deter a thief, but makes a decent storage cabinet and can keep the kids away. Personally I have the 12 rifle one and like it quite a bit. but it would be hard to get 12 in it. I think I have like 10 in it and it's pretty full.

I also have a real safe that's like 24x42x60" but it's full to the brim.

Just picked up the Marlin 795 myself The Stack-On 10-gun "safe" that is on sale for $260 at Sports Authority ($480 at Walmart) is a much better choice.

I bought this one minus the fire rating to go in my travel trailer. it only weighs 125 lbs empty. so it would have to be bolted to the floor and wall. I paid $189 out the door at Sports Athority. after I sold the trailer its now my rimfire safe. DR

stack on is a great product, just make sure you bolt it to the floor or wall or both.

Thanks for all the input. I'll start with one of the security cabinets and eventually work my way up to a safe.
