    BSA Martini

I got this Martini at an auction a few months ago

It seems to be in excellent shape, sights are smooth, clicks are positive and the trigger has to be felt to be believed..range report to follow

I got a quick chance to shoot the Martini rece3ntly. I think it is capable of much better...I had trouble focusing on the little red dot @ 25 yards. Not enough contrast.

Aguila standard velocity 6 rounds @ 25 yards

Federal "Lightning" ammo 8 rounds @ 25 yards

Mine will do 5 shots into a ragged hole at 25 yards , I have thought about moving my lyman target spot from my winchester 52 to my martini just to see what it will do . I think my eyesight is holding the rifle from showing what it can really do .
Very nice rifle by the way, Its obvious its a international but what version ?

        It's a MK V

Thanks for the feedback. What ammo works best in yours?

Interesting rifle. Thanks for posting the thread.
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

Terrible rifle, send it to me for disposal. Just kidding, Beautiful rifle and groups not bad with that ammo. As posted earlier try some Wofl Match Target or if you can spend a little more some Lapua Center-X ($10/50) and those groups should shrink by half. At 25 and 50 yds I like to shoot at 2" Shoot N -C bulls. They make a nice sight picture for me with the rignt front aperture. Aim small, miss small.

I have tried a pretty wide selection of rimfire ammo in numerous rifes and each rifle is different but found that wolf match target shoots very well in most of my rimfires , I have a small stash of some older target ammo and found that Lupua scoremax and pistol target both shoot great .
