Loose receiver on Ruger Mk2

I have a used Ruger Mk2 target that the receiver/barrel is a little loose when attached to the grip frame. There is movement when the pistol is shaken. I'm not concerned that it is going to fly apart when shooting it but this can't be contributing to accuracy in the pistol. Is there a home remeady for this issue?

I would recommend taking it apart to observe why it is loose. When I dissembled and reassembled my Mk I it still remained rock solid. I would first check the latch on the rear of the grip frame since this holds the barreled upper and grip from together.

The loose fit doesn't affect accuracy. You need to peen your lug. Or if that is too much install a blastshield. Alternately you could squeeze your rails.

Five minute job and now the play in the receiver to frame is much less. A great idea, thanks for sharing this.
