    Mossberg .22 semi auto

I just bought a brandnew mossy 22 for 170 at tracy rifle n pistol. What do you guys think of them? I have a ruger 10/22 already but figured for the price a mossy 22 sounded good. What ya'll think

A Plinkster? Like the 10/22....will probably go bang all the time. I think all of the other brands are nice, but I'm just sold on the 10/22....30 million strong or something like that

Heres a link to the exact one I just bought.
Mossberg Rifles: Shop Mossberg bolt-action & semi-auto rifles. Discover Patriot, 715T Tactical, MVP Patrol models in .22LR, .308 Win, .30-06 Sprg, .223 Rem.

Also some come with a muzzle brake "not mine" why would someone need a muzzlebrake on a .22?

My 702 has worked nicely. I put a set of tech-sights on it.

Mine starts to fail after a few hundred rounds if I don't keep the chamber clean.

                  NorCalk9,

I think you have a winner! As far as accuracy goes the Mossy will group better than the Ruger as it's been noted that the factory Ruger barrels will give you just average groups. Many of my Marlins does this to the Ruger every time. You just need to shoot the best groups using as much brands of ammo possible. This is time consuming but you'll get to know your rifle well.
