    Winchester 67-22

My daughter and fiancee were cleaning out a storage area at her financee's parent's house, when they found an old Winchester 67-22. It is has quite a bit of rust, but the action works (stiffly). I would like to get it working again, but saw some postings on the Internet that taking apart and reassembling the action is complete nightmare. True? Any tips?

The 67 is a single shot bolt action 22 that Winchester made from ~'38 till ~'68. They are incredibly simple to disassemble, just lift the bolt and hold the trigger as you pull the bolt to the rear and it comes right out. Not much else to it. They are great little guns to teach kids with. They were never manufactured with no serial numbers.

The bolt comes out easily enough as you said, but the trigger is rusted, so it really needs to come fully apart and some of what I read makes me leery.

There is only 1 pin and one spring in there. Take the action screw out and its all very easy to see and get to and clean. You really cant have a more simple rifle.
