Vertical Grips for Rimfire Rifles

Sorry if this has been asked before, but i tried the search feature and didn't find anything on it.

Are vertical grips legal on rimfire rifles in CA?

I have a 10/22 with a tapco gen1 stock, and was wondering if i could have a vertical grip as well.
