    Big 5: Mossberg Tactical .22

I was just browsing my local Big Five's weekly sales ad and came across this:

Seems to be one of the cheapest "AR-styled" .22lr semi-automatic rimfire rifles I've seen around.

Does anyone have any experience with these? This sales price is about half the price of the regularly priced M&P 15-22.

Interesting, hopefully someone who owns one will add input. For that price tempted to buy one.

Go with the M&P 15-22. Or build one. I've talked to a few guys a turners an they all said the same thing about the mosseberg. It's not that good compared to the others. I've finally picked up mine today after about 2 months of reading reviews an asking about them. It was either this or build one.

It's a cheap Mossberg .22 in an AR looking shell. Don't waste your money.

I was going to buy this weapon but i did some reading. Some work great, some have issues. I ended up going with a Marlin 795 with a scope and have way less money in it and is more accurate from what I have read. I built a real AR after that.

This. The Mossberg feels cheap, and it shoots like crap compared to other AR .22LR rifles (Colts, S&W's, builds, etc). A friend of mine bought one, against my suggestions. I went out and shot it and he shot my 15-22. After an hour of shooting each other's guns, he was upset at himself for wasting that money on the Mossberg when he could've spend a little more for a 15-22. Needless to say, he ended up selling it at a loss because nobody wanted to buy it since they knew better already.

Spend a few bucks more and get a decent rifle (15-22 for example) or build your own. Or spend a couple hundred bucks now and realize later that you just wasted that money and wish you spent a little more.

I already own an M&P 15-22. I have no regrets.

I was told it's basically a Mossberg 702 with an AR shell. Like other's have said, build your own AR rimfire or get the M&P 15-22. I built my own AR 22.

My sons airsoft gun feels a lot better and it is heavier, heck when I took off my front handguard, it mounted right on to his AR airsoft. Same with the carry handle, off my AR and onto his airsoft AR.

Just pay a little more. You'll be happy with your purchase.

Also, I noticed with quality, you can always sell it and get some money back.

Finally, quality lasts longer, you'll be more proud of your buy.
