    .22lr ammo deals?

I'm down to my last couple of bricks, what deals are out there? I got the blazers from dunns last time, wanted to try some other brands if possible.

    Thanks

$73 for 2100 rounds at Cabales, you also get the plastic ammo can which I like a lot in carrying ammo around. They have the $20 off coupon if you spend $150 or more right now - which basically covers the shipping. Its Federal stuff which my 10/22, my 77/22 and pistols all like.

Someone posted a CCI ad not too long ago of cases for $159 (5k rounds). My guns like it too and I think the shipping was reasonable.

About .029/rd. You have to do a rebate though. It's free shipping from Gander.
The Federal Champions give me more consistent groups than the Remington Golden bullets and the rebate from Gander makes it a really good deal. Rebate is unlimited per household too.

What area do you live in? Might help some with some local sales/deals.

+1 on the Cabela's deal. The dry box is a nice box - think it's made by Plano.

I live in LA on the west side. Local deals would be good to know about.

Sorry I'm up in Nor Cal, but lucky enough to have a local gun store that has very good ammo prices. 500 round blazers are $15 a box. The only downside is its in Sacramento city limits which means I have to give my DL, and put my fingerprint on the purchase sheet.

But hey for plinking ammo even wally world doesn't come close!

I would suggest you try Turner's. I usually stock up on the Federal 550 bricks when they are $17.99 each. Last week I was in and they had another brand (CCI?--just don't remember) on sale for $18.50. I am 1/2 way between the Pasadena and West Covina Turner's, not sure where your closest one would be.

I always shop at wally. $22 with tax included gets me 550 rds of very decent fed ammo. Thats 4 cents a shot....

You can also sit and guard FS section and wait for someone to dump a massive load of ammo to pay the bills.
