    marlin 795 vs savage model 64

    I wanna buy a cheap rifle plinker. Any thoughts between these 2?

    the savage 64 doesn't... people here including myself love the 795

        personally i didnt like the mag release and i didnt like the fact it didnt come with the accu trigger. It gives you a 20 inch barrel but you can get a 20 inch barrel with a Marlin 60. As for a scope mount it uses a tapped top which is nice, but that was the only nice thing. For the price I went Marlin.

          one of each is absolutely needed!
          And get qet a tube fed .22 levergun while you are at it.
          The variety of .22s never ends.... the majority of them are fun.

            I have a Savage 64 and so far squirrels have regret it. Just put a decent glass and get rid of the BB gun scope it comes with.
