Dont ever buy anything from Chiappa Firearms...

I know I had a different thread about this but I felt like I had to bring awareness to this horrible business. After weeks of calling and emailing and leaving messages for my first problem I contacted the company I purchased it through and they lit a fire under someones *** over there and they finally contacted me and sent out a replacement part. Well Had another failure and the guide rod snapped and have now been trying to contact them again for about 1 1/2 weeks, i even replied to an email that was a direct email to the warranty person who took care of me the first time with the situation and pictures of what happened thinking, hey this is the email he first emailed me from so he should get this and respond asap.....No, nothing at all after multiple emails. I have contacted my distributor again and they are being quite helpful trying to get a hold of chiappa and to take care of me. This is not a review of their product, I actually really like how the Chiappa performs, when it was working I have put over 2k rounds and only had a few stovepipes because the ammo didnt sit right in the mag, but almost no FTF or FTE so im actually really happy with the product.....when its working.

But I would never buy anything product from them again because it is almost impossible to get a hold of them for any type of customer service. After over a month I still have not actually spoken to someone on the phone, I was only contacted by email once.....

So all in all again STAY AWAY FROM CHIAPPA AT ALL COSTS!!!! Cause you will never be able to get a hold of them if you ever need parts or anything....

sorry to hear this hopefully they will get their sH*t straightened out so you can get what you need. i vaguely recall hearing stories about their horrible customer service before, if they don't fix it soon they will find them self without any customers.

Bummer to hear about the bad Customer Service. Those responses make or break where I do business as well. I have heard about some of the issues you're having, but not all. Maybe you got the lemon this time?
Hopefully it will get worked out.

Sorry to hear about that. Thanks for the info though as I was thinking about getting the Chippa 22 upper, but I guess I'll spend a few more bucks and get the CMMG upper instead.

        Hope you get a resolution.

ya it really sucks too, i really like the product, it shot great and looked good, but the service is just inexcusable and for a US based company making their own products its a bummer, would love to support our own products but oh well...

Although they do have facilities in Dayton, Ohio, it appears that they are an Italian based company with corporate headquarters in Brescia, Italy:

From what I understand Chiappa does all their US business through a few key distributors. I hope I'm not spreading FUD here but that's what the folks at SHOT told me. Their distributors were listed on their website last time I checked. Maybe they could help?

I had issues with their product. Had a lever action .357 that wouldn't cycle. They took forever to refurb. it (more than 12 weeks). Did the same thing when I got it back. Returned it and won't be buying one again.
