Please forgive my ignorance as I'm a new (almost) gun owner. I bought a P220 which normally shoots 45ACP rounds. However, I want to do some cheap plinking and shoot some 22 or 22LR rounds at the range. I provided links to both conversion kits below in case you aren't familiar with them.
Does anyone know any pros/cons in doing this conversion? It won't be permanent as I'll probably still want to shoot some 45ACP rounds at the range and also keep it as a 45 for home protection. I mentioned this to a friend who is also fairly new to guns and he muttered about reading something online that conversions are bad for guns.
Lastly, does anyone recommend one or the other as I only want to buy one of them. I believe the 22LR is more for rifles which I don't think I can accurately shoot that far with a pistol anyway. Also, I'm not sure if the threaded barrel is illegal in CA (Silencer attachment?).
