Would this be legal in CA?

    the razorback.

It's basically a belt-fed upper in .22LR in rifle length.

There is much want in this one.

Probably need to follow the same laws regarding magazines.

the belt cannot exceed 10rds though

laws for the centerfires are going to be different though

        Whew!
Money to burn and... (1919 replica = $3495.)
More money to burn. (brick belt = $105)
(I could get 5 - 555 bulk boxes at Wally World for that! 2775 rnds.)

Very cool under the glass topped coffee table as a conversation piece.

I saw something similar at a gun shop once. A miniature machine gun in 22 cal.

You could be a make-believe terminator with one of those and the belt draped over your arm.

Betcha it'd take longer to reload the belt than to shoot it up.

i seem to recall reading somewhere, that belt-fed ANYTHING is illegal here...

if you're seriously consider getting one, I'd suggest you call the proper authority of the state of California; there could be dire consequences for possessing one.

I'd think so, provided you use a bullet button like a regular AR pistol.

The BB is for centerfire ammo not rimfire!

The belt fed is something I know little about.....and well that is best left to others that do.

Belts can be as big as you want as long as you had them prior to 1-1-2000 or legally aquire them some other way. The average Californian just can't legally get or manufacture +10 round belts
                      today.

Yea, you know. It would still be a +10 round ammunition feeding device. I sure hope someone doesn't misread your post and think that what you proposed is really legal.

Like Jack said, you recalled incorrectly. Belt feds have never been an issue in Ca.

But, it's a rifle length upper. Being that it's a rimfire rifle, it does not need a mag lock. Besides, a normal AR maglock won't work with this upper.

Lets not forget that mag locks are required on certain handguns. When it comes to handguns, there is no exception for rimfire handguns. So, even .22lrs like the GSG5 pistol require the use of a magazine lock to be legal in CA.

I'm curious to see how one would use a maglock on a belt... padlock through the 11th hole? I'd like to see the .22 upper with the barrel shroud like the 1919A4 set up.

And I just starched my pants looking at the .22 M2HB!!!
