    Mossberg 144 LSA Bolt issue

I was cleaning a Mossberg 144 LSA rifle that had not been cleaned in years. Now I cannot get the bolt to go back into the rifle. I have tried it cocked uncocked and still nothing. It seems to be hanging up on the extractor. I haven't been able to find much online about this rifle. Hopeing someone here can help me out. Here is the only thing I have been able to find on this rifle.

Son, one day you will make a girl very happy, for a short period of time. Then she will leave you and be with men who are ten times better than you could ever hope to be. These men are called Marines.

Have you tried the Mossberg forum on rimfirecentral.com?

Have you tried holding the trigger back when inserting the bolt? It will only go in when cocked, so trying it uncocked is not going to help

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.

        Havent checked rimfirecentral.com

yes I squeeze the trigger when I try to insert the bolt. It passes the trigger fine. Its hanging up on the extactor.

Its can happen that one bends the extractor during cleaning. If it is bent it won't go in the bolt slot and you are stuck. Just a quess.
If you post over on rimfirecentral you will have your answer within 60 seconds with pictures. They are a bunch of nice people who know lots about Mossbergs. Mossbergs are a popular firearm.
