    Marlin Papoose?

I've been interested in a Marlin 70SS Papoose but can't find any online dealers that have them in stock. Does Marlin/Remington still produce them?

I looked for one about a year ago and came to the same result. Seemed like a fun gun to take backpacking.

Look on the Marlin site Model PSS70. Gallery of Guns.com has them listed for $299.

A gun shop employee told me Marlin (Remington) moved the factory from New Haven so they haven't been in production for awhile. Once the production line is set up again in New York or Kentucky, they'll start cranking them out again.

I love the rifle because you can put it in your backpack. I just wished the barrel didn't come loose after a few rounds. You have to keep tightening the barrel nut.

There are a couple of brand new ones, and a couple of used ones for sale at gunbroker.com.

Just paid for a Henry AR-7.

Ya, but it's not in stock. No one seems to have any.

Ive had one scence i was 10. its not the ss but the 70P. Its very accurate, love it more them my 10/22. only draw back is the stock is so short, its awkward holding the forend so close to you.

I just ordered my first rifle on the web. Got a wood stocked Marlin 70p, new old stock, online from Guns America. Now my 10 days starts. Already got (4) 10 round magazines and Tech Sights. I'll report how it shoots once I get it. There is another one just listed....http://www.gunsamerica.com/969003099...ARLIN_70_P.htm
                      Happy hunting.
