Advice for Scope on a cmmg m4 .22 Please

So i want to mount a scope on a standard flat top AR with A2 front post sight. I have a spare LaRue cantilever 30mm tube mount. It would be nice to use it but not a mandate. I was thinking of using a primary arms aimpoint clone, but before buying that I thought I would ask about "standard" scopes. I'm not against spending money for quality if its worth it.

I thought it might be nice to have some magnification, maybe the 1-6x magnification range. I prefer scopes with a decent sized "bell" so there is lots of light gathering ability, but again its not a deal breaker.

So, to paraphrase
1. low magnification scope 1-6x range
2. 30mm prefered
3. clear-bright glass, big bell ?

Come to think of it this might be nice for a 5.56 as well......hmmmm

i have there 4x16 and the glass is very clear and crisp plus the price is right im sure there other scopes are of the same quality and caliber. they also make nice red dots

Seriously, if you can afford it.. a NightForce NXS 2.5-10 (used is around $1000-$1100 but you can alway sale it for that if you decide you did not like it later)

Otherwise a nice optic is the Nikon M-223, very clear and have the mag you want.

Primary Arms has some nice glass for a decent price.
You can't go wrong with a Nikon.
I like adjustable objectives for .22LR's. Most scopes are set for 100 yard parallax free.

+1 for Primary Arms. It's a .22, and not an Anschutz. There's no need to spend that much on optics.

I've got PA's M4-style red dot and a 5x magnifier on my M&P 15-22, and it's phenomenal.

LOL I have a Schmidt and Bender 6x42 Reticle No. 7 on my CZ 452 Varmint .22 Yeah it's a bit over kill for a .22, but the light gathering capabilities are excellent at 100 yards. You can see 10x better in the shadows better than the naked eye since this scope is specifically design for moon light/low light shooting.
