Lets Build an LTR for the Appleseed Corona 210

Let’s Build an LTR for the Appleseed Corona 210

    Hi Everyone

Help me build an LTR “Liberty Training Rifle” for the Calguns Donation to the Appleseed Corona 210 in September. Calguns is going to donate an Appleseed ready Marlin 795 but we want to keep the cost down so we can add some accessories. I hope to make this low cost enough to get 2 for around $550

Hardside case: Try Big 5 They often have Plano cases for around $20.

Mats : Walmart camper's sleeping pads $15 each

Scope : BSA Sweet 22 3-9 possibly $60 on Amazon

    Those are my suggestions

good suggestions, I forgot to add, if I could get away with outfitting 2 rifles for $550 that would be great!

I like scopes but most LTR's run Tech Sights

Don't think you need a different mount for Tech Sights I think you can get them for the dove tail groove on the receiver but if not DIP makes nice rails http://www.diproductsinc.com/Detail....86947&CAT=3603

Considered one of the best prices on mags http://www.cdnninvestments.com/mabopre88au2.html

Go with Tech-Sights. I like my LTR's bare-bones, more emphasis on fundamentals than equipment

The tech sights are easy to install. Two screws and some locktite. Be sure to install the rear sight as far back as possible, unlike what I did the first time.

The dreaded CTD has 10 rd. mags for $12... you probably can't beat that price. And Barska (optics) is local (LaVerne): Maybe they could be talked into donating a scope!
I love the smell of Cosmoline in the morning... It smells like... History!

If you want iron sights...puta williams firesight on the front and a rimfire/air rifle dovetail mount peepsight on the rear. In may I loaned my Stevens 86 with a good open rear sight and a williams firesight on the front to a couple of first timers....seemed that they had no trouble.

I am willing to donate the two sleeping pads
