Why is it not that popular?

I noticed that of the .22 rifles out there the remington 597 isnt talked about much. Im kinda curious if anyone else here as one?
I have one and shoot id take it over a 10/22 anyday! Ive never had a problem with it and its very accurate and I find the stock to be fantastic. The only upside i can find to the 10/22 is you can make them.... *Tacti-cool*

597 past problems

When the 597 first came out it had horrible magazines. None of them would take 10 rounds and work. They had to be cleaned and oiled every use. They are on the third revision of the mags now and as you said they work well. I wish I still had mine now, but, at the time I was glad to get rid of mine.
