I don't know if it's the same for the .22LR conversion but you can buy a follower to keep the slide back after you've fired the last round.

Ditto on the Remington Gold Bullets bulk box, broke before finishing box. Also they make plastic and metal mags for the Mosquito. All I have are the earlier plastic and they work fine for me.
