I want to teach my 10 yr. old daughter how to shoot my 10-22 but my wife insist on a safety class for her first before she gives her blessings. Anyone know of one?

I would see if you can find an NRA instructor that can do a first steps class for her. Maybe even have mom come too. If you where closer I would do it for free. Also, check if the local range has a youth group. Most of the leaders there will be certified and that may help mom relax, not to mention give a few other kids to encourage yours.sigpic50BMGBOB aka 50BMGLAZARUS aka 50BMGZOMBIEBOB aka the UN- DEAD! -

Thanks for the responses. I have been to an Appleseed Class in Corona 2 years ago. It was a fantastic class but I think it assumes a certain basic level of prior exposure and skill to a .22 rifle. Certainly the portion on figuring MOA would be alien jargon to her at this point. The suggestion for an NRA certified instructor or a youth club might be some viable avenues for me to check. Thanks for the suggestions, all. If anyone in the Orange County are know specifically someone certified and good with children of this age, I will be more so appreciative. I will bring my wife with me. I am off this month, so I will want to get it done soon. Thanks again.Comment
