    CMMG new Modular Mag

I finally have my hands on a CMMG Revolution BHOA Magazine.
Dave S. posted a few pictures. My camera is down

Until you put hands on it you can't appreciate it.
First thing that come to my mind was "heavy duty" It's very well built. I've never seen a .22 make that is made this precise and this solid. You can just feel it.
The metal feed tower is very smooth. No seams.
The insert that actually holds the rounds, spring, and follower is one piece. No seams to hang up on.

The mag is heavier than the grey mags, but again, it just feels so solid.

The modular feature of being able to add 10 rounds is very cool. Simply add a section.
Springs will be available for up to 35 rounds if I understand correctly.

I wasn't a fan of the skeleton style skin, but again, when you have it in your hand, it looks so much different than on the web.

The follower moves very smoothly up and down the channel. Makes it somewhat easier to load.
The follower is a 1 piece design that will work with the BHOA. I have a test model and unfortunately, do not have the stiffer spring for the BHOA, but they will come with the mags when released I'm told.
I will run it this weekend for function but I see nothing to make me believe it will not perform as good as it looks and feels.

Well then I stand corrected. I'll remove that from the post. The 10 round mags, I assumed, would be legal as they are sold as 10 round mags.
The features of the mag give it the ability to be added to, which would be up to the end user to not violate CA law.
But then, I have a hard time following CA law.
Simple fix to that would be to simply file off the connecting stubs. Or restrict the CA sales to the 10 round and not offer the longer inserts and connectors to CA residents.
I don't know how you guys do it. :/

We are field testing it now. So I would say within the next 30 days if everything comes out right.
I really didn't appreciate it until putting hands on one.

That has a 10 round extension on it, but yes. I don't like the web pics of it. But after handling it, I have a whole new appreciation of it.

            Here is how it works:

FINALLY!!!! I've been waiting a life time for these mags to come out. Im not to sure about the skeleton skins, but I could get used to it.

These will work with the BHOA, yeah?

They will actually work much better with the BHOA since it is a one piece follower. The mags will come with 2 springs. An "easy load" and a stiffer spring to operate the BHOA.
I didn't like the skeleton skin at all until I actually had one in hand. It's much different than it looks on the web.
This mag is heavy duty for sure.

                  Very neat concept.

How much are they going to cost?

I would think the 10 rounder would be totally legal. No different than any other 10 round mag., especially if it is only sold with the 10 round insert. If the owner modifies it to hold more than 10 rounds he is breaking the law(no different than modifying any other mag).

Very nice. When they going on sale? Definitely would want to get some of these to compliment my upper...

I'm told within 1 month, but you know how that goes. One of the other testers ran his sample today with a dedicated upper and a conversion. Flawless.

Worst case they can be shipped to CA as like 10rd rebuild kits and we can permanently modify them.

I tell you what... I am so excited about these coming out! I've been having issues with the 10rd BHOA mags, but these seem like they'll be good to go.
