    S&W MP15-22 question

Can you swap out the crappy forearm for a real milspec forearm? I like the gun but the foream seemed to rattle and annoy me when I played with one at the store. Thanks..

The forearm rattles? The front of the rifle with the rails? Or are you talking about the buttstock, the part that you put against your shoulder?

The S&W 15-22 use any Mil-Spec sized collaspable buttstock.

Not worth it IMO. I have a 15-22 and like it a lot, but the receiver is plastic and the barrel mount is not all that strong. It's easy to wiggle things around even if the barrel nut is tight. Just enjoy the gun for what it is and leave it stock.

If you want something "milspec" you're better off getting a real AR with a dedicated upper.

I'm surprised to hear about loose forearms on these things. Mine - and all the others that I've handled - have been tight as hell. Mine didn't have any rattles at all except for the stock, and when I changed that out those went away entirely.
