Muzzle Break for a 10/22

I am looking at these strictly for cosmetics. I realize a 10/22 does not really need a muzzle break or flash suppressor. I have seen some from NStar that look like they just go on the end and then others that look like they need to be gun smithed on.

Anyone here have any experience with muzzle breaks or any recommendations.

What is your barrel diameter? Volquartsen sells a clamp on type for the .920 bull barrrel, it looks much better than the average slip on type.

It is just a standard 10/22 I picked up the tapco stock, a bushnell scope, the recoil pad, a bipod and a forward grip for it. Not only is it really fun to shoot but it is pretty cheap to operate as well.

I thought a muzzle break would complete the look and I was thinking about getting a bigger charging handle and mag release as well.

Yeah I am on the fence between that one and the 50 cal one. Anyone have any experience with either as far as looks and construction goes.

That one from Brownells is also sold by Tactical Innovations. Made by John Masen. They work great. But I had to use a board and a hammer to get mine on. Plus Locktite on the set screw. That baby is never coming off. It also adds like 2" inches to overall length but I like it. Does the job.

I bought one of those when i first bought my 10/22. Fit kinda loose and i noticed my groupings were tighter without it so i keep it off. Has anyone else noticed decreased accuracy with these slip on muzzle tips?

10/22 plinker with:
Fixed-up trigger group etc.
Floated fore end and barrel band
Butt extension
Weaver Classic scope (2.5-7x28) w/ QD rings
16" barrel w/ SEI slip-on brake (unfortunately they do not offer them any more)

I have spare SE Vortex FH lying around after many AR builds so I installed it on my Sig 522 ;-)

100% totally unnecessary buy it's spare FH I have and it has no home so why not?! lol

As mentioned, I had to use a piece of wood and a hammer to install it. I checked with Tactical Innovations before doing so, and they advised me it should fit tight. I don't think a muzzle device should be loose at all, nor should it impact performance/accuracy as that's contrary to its primary purpose.

I went with the .50 cal one along with some other things like the larger charging handle and an extra power spring upgrade from Wolf's.
