Barrel replacement and reassembly?

I scored a great deal on a Tac-Sol barrel today and I'm sitting here trying to install it, which I've gone through this process twice already. I'm trying to figure out what the best way to square this barrel up or line this barrel up so that's it's on perfectly straight. It's not a simple just slide right one, it's needed a little "coaxing" to get it in place. But each time I do this it looks like it's just a few millimeters off.

Any tips from you pros out there?

Let me ask it this way, when the barrel and receiver are put together, laid upside, and I'm the v-block is put on, should the v-block be perfectly flat with the bottom of the receiver when tightened?

I'm not a pro but I think you might need a different v-block.
