    New rattlecan paintjob

Well i just got my AR but i wanted to be different, i like the magpul stuff but cant really afford it right now, and i kinda wanted to use a different color, and i thought the dark grey/silver looked nice. So let the flaming begin but hopefully not because i actually think it came out really good and I like the color so let me know what you guys think!!!

I know i havent painted the BUIS yet but im going to i just didnt have time to get to it today.

I know in the second pic it looks shiny cause of the flash of the camera but it not glossy it just kinda appears that way in the second pic...

Why is your rear BUIS so far forward?!?

Yup, looks good man! This is a nice alternative to buying new stuff, plus you can use your $$ for ammo!

What do you use to paint your gun?

is it a bad thing? i had it a little farther forward because when it lays down its really close to the charging handle and when i have my RDS on there and its laying flat if i have a FTF or FTE and i have to pull the CH i dont want to touch the BUIS just in case i hit the adjustment knobs and knock it off zero....that was my thinking anyway.

Is there a difference with it being 2 notches more forward or is it just matter of opinion?

Thanks!! Ya i have two motorcycles that are silver and black so i kinda thought that the colors would go together no problem, and i thought they go together nicely. Plus i didnt want it to be like everyone else's with the green or tan, but i didnt want it to be to crazy and standoutish either.

Thanks! Ya and i didnt really want to buy the regular green or tan stuff so its all good. I know now i can convince my wife that with the savings of not buying new stuff for my gun i should be able to get like 10 boxes of ammo because i was a good boy and didnt blow more money lol

I just used KRYLON made for plastic kind from walmart, it was like 5 bucks.

I cleaned the parts and let dry then hung them on a hanger and did one coat, then waited 20 min and did another coat, then waited 5 hours and put it together. Its not fully dry till like 36 hours but i just put it together and set it aside so i wont use it till its really supposed to be dry, which is later on today so then ima take it out!!!
