    new to semi auto .22's

So at the los altos rod and gun club, rapid fire is ok with .22's. But it sounded like he fired more than 10 rounds? is this legal? or are there loopholes just like with AR's.. I know all the legality info and what not with AR's, but is it the same with semi auto .22's and the only difference is that they are different calibers?

If the shooter had pre-ban hi-caps than it's all good. Rimfire rifles are exempt from AW laws. So all it needs is a 26" overall length with 16" barrel. Was it a ruger 10/22 or newer AR-style rimfire?

My sem-auto rimfire Winchester rifle holds 16 in the tube. Perhaps he had an older tube fed rifle.

Yup if you have pre-ban magazines. Primarily, for rimfire semis you can drop the magazine with your finger. As noted above, you can have 10+ round lever action rimfire rifle since it's not a semi-auto weapon.

Not just .22, also .17hmr, .22magnum, 5mm (if you can find one) rimfire rifles are exempt.

You can have disassembled hi-cap kits for out of state use or when the SHTF and zombie apocalypse happens. Don't worry, smart minds right now are working on the overturning/legal importation of assembled hi-cap mags into state that are not designated for LEO's. Check out the 2nd amendment forum.

yea so same laws with AR high caps. I got it now awesome. and yes sweet! That needs to be completed as a top priority as well as getting rid of BB's/other legalization mods.
