i dropped the whole bank-breaking $21 on the "ultimate clip loader" for my mk3. it is awesome! you can consistently load a mag in 3 seconds. no sore, silver surfer colored thumbs. i actually ended up buying 2 extra mags after i got the loader too.

i would like to have something similar to that, or the VQ loader just to tote around in my bag. the clip loader is a bit bulky and would be nice to have something more pocket sized for speed-loading

        Very creative

On your next order from Midway get a few of these to toss in your range bag.

I have one of the Ultimate Cliploaders (I know, should be magazine loader) and it works really well. Some .22's have a waxy coating that can gum up the inside but it came apart for cleaning pretty easy.

I went to Lowe's and picked up just under $3 worth of bits and made my own mag loader out of some stuff that was laying around the office.

It's kind of ugly, but it's a good fit and keeps my thumbs from getting wrecked. Anyone else do something like this?

Can you post an "in use" pic too? I'm having a hard time visualizing how it works...I think I need more coffee.

His device helps him press down on the buttons on either side of the magazine. With the two openings, he can insert two mags and load both at the same time.

The Ultimate Cliploader is still tops, however. It doesn't just press down on the follower, it actually loads rounds into the mag as well. Best money you can spend if you own a Browning Buckmark or Ruger Mk. III or 22/45.

The Ultimate Cliploader is good stuff. Although my experience has been that it's a little sensitive to ammo. CCI Blazer and MiniMags rarely load all 10 rounds, usually hanging up on the last round, and the MiniMags sometimes don't load at all. Weird. Doesn't bother me too much though, I just fast-load 9 and hand load the last round in each mag. Still, a vast improvement on loading exclusively by hand.

Funny thing, the crappy Remington Gold Bullet loads perfectly. Every. Time.

I bought the $25 plastic, 50 round, shake and load kind. It's small enough to carry in my range bag and I can load a mag in seconds, basically.

Now I just have to wait for my other mags to arrive in the mail. .

I looked for a thumb saver and will probably pick one up eventually just to have one.

If you shoot much, you will gradually get used to it. Mine was pretty bad when I first got it, a few years later I can now load it with ease. I do work outdoors, maybe I just have thick skin to begin with.
