    .22LR AMMO

    Federal 525- 36 grain- 20$.... Blazer 525- 40 grain- $21 Or CCI 375 round nose- $25

Which ammo shoots better with the .22 LR COLT m4

36 gr will probably feed better. For plinking I recommend Winchester 555 bulk or Federal 550 bulk copper wash 36 gr. from Walmart. The copper wash leaves less fouling.

      I have a S&W MP15-22 and I use CCI AR Tactical it's 40 grain copper plated round nose. It's $24.95 per 375 rounds @ turners. I highly recommend it

            auto match

Try the Federal Auto Match, found at your Walmart stores. Works great in all my semi-auto rimfires.

              Colt/Umarex M-4

I have a Colt/Umarex M-16 loook alike. It loves Federal Automatch. Never a feed, misfire, or ejection issue.

I bought a box of 40gr Lead Round Nose Blaser (525) pack on Thursday and ran about a hundred rounds through my MKIII. Dirtiest ammo I've used. Also had a couple of FTFs in those first hundred rounds.

I mostly shoot the Federal 36gr Copper Plated hollow point bulk (525) pack or CCI Mini Mags. Not a single FTF or FTE with those.

The Blazer's are going into the back of the safe and may not ever come out again.

The Colts are a 15 1/4 to 1 twist something like that. I found them partial to none able to shoot many. I use 40 grn bullets in my 16 to 1 twist 22lr's and I feel I get the best results. I think the Colts are built to work well with whatever you choose but for my taste anything 40 grn is a preference.
