    adjusting fixed sights

    just got brand new rough rider. shoots straight , but about a foot low at 25yds. how much filing is it going to take ?

    It is usually fairly easy to adjust at the range. Use a fine toothed file and go slow, shoot often.

    ~ To answer your question though requires knowing the sight radius. For example, a 7" sight radius would need a correction of .094" to move the point of impact 12.032" at 25yds. These numbers do not take into account velocity or mass of the bullet.
