Go check out Ammobros in Ontario. That is where I got my bulk CCI 40grain 525 packs for $13.98. Not sure if they are on sale still or not??? Turner's has the same sale for $17.99 every month or two.

Bought a box of 100 CCI Mini Mags yesterday at Turner's in West Covina for $7.99. I was going to get the CCI Stingers, but the sales clerk warned me they are not recommended for the Ruger 10/22 which I was picking up.

CCI is one of the best performance .22lr around. It works wonders in everything I have and doesn't dirty any thing any more than the expensive stuff.

The 40 grain CCI's are great for the 10/22. The CCI Stingers (32g) are great for the 22/45. Instruction manual for 10/22 says do NOT use Stingers in the rifle.

I found the Stingers at the last gun show for just under $5/100...

                  S&W 317 Air Lyte Revolver (Non-kit) ammo

Can I safely use mini-mags and stingers in my new .22 LR revolver?

Mini-mags are standard and should be fine.

Be careful with stingers as they have a longer case than normal .22LR ... the overall length of the casing plus bullet is the same but the bullet is short and case long so this might be problematic.

True, that extra length in the case is gun powder, plus because the round is smaller and lighter (32 Grain) its considered Hyper Velocity at 1525 FPS.

The Stingers will cycle fine used with AR- type 22lr platforms, but they are expensive and IMHO, not necessary unless you plan to shoot varmint at 100~150 yards in the bushy forest!!!

My 2 cents on the subject...

I bought CCI Mini Mags at Turners. I think it was $6.49 a box.

Note...the original post was about Mini-Mas, not the CCI Blazers.

of the 3 1022s i've seen BREAK ( as in the receiver cracked at the buffer hole), all three were fed a steady diet of stingers and velocitors. those hyper velocity rounds are hell on a 1022.
and I'd love to find minimags at $5 per hundred. i'd be an ammo buying fool! what the hell, 75,000 rounds is only a year's load out.

How about $5.75 per hundred, no tax and reasonable shipping?

Shipping is $7.99 for less than $100 and $12.99 for over $100. Be warned they may be slow to ship but the price is good. We shall see how long it takes for me to get my order.

http://www.outdoorsportsusa.com/ seems to be the same place.

                              Enjoy

                                My P22 loves:
                                - CCI Mini Mag 40g round point copper plated
                                - CCI Velocitor hollow point
                                - CCI Stingers
                                - Federal GameShock
                                Not so much:
CCI Blazers - dirtied up the action after a few mags and even had a case split at the base, just gave up on these after 60 rounds and gave the box away

Buying online at cheaperthandirt, reliable ground shipping so far.
