The scope is a CenterPoint 4-16x40, bought it at walmart for about $70 a while back. (originally mounted it on my pellet rifle) Range report will come this weekend, I'll be taking it to the local indoor range tomorrow night, and to Angeles on Saturday.

I ended up selecting the Harris 1A2 13.5-27" based on the recommendation my buddy at Turner's made. Since it will mostly be shot from the bench, and I'm 6'3", he figured the 9-13 might be a little short for me. I can go prone with this height, but it is at the upper end of what I'd feel comfortable with height-wise.

No, but on my favorite sailng forum we use the keyword 'Friday' in any new threads that feature less-than-fully-clothed women. Serves as PSA for those that may not be alone. Works quite well.

And just so you don't think we're all a bunch of horny sailors with no redeeming qualities, the girls use the keyword 'Wednesday'. And trust me, these gals can get pretty crude......

Preliminary range-report: Took the BTVS down to OC Indoor (local indoor range) today, and spent close to 3 hours having fun. I shot through ~200 Winchester bulk-pack, 50 Aguila Super Extra, and just for the fun of it, 5 CCI Stingers. The winchester bulk stuff ran nicely, FTF, FTE, or misfeed. Of the 50 Aguila rounds... after about 20-25 of them, I started getting FTE's. I thought after 4-5 of them that it was something gumming up the extractor, so I took out the bolt and cleaned up the entire front end of it. I re-inserted it, and the very next round FTE'd again. I had a total of probably 10 do this. (I tested 8-10 rounds after this kept happening by manually inserting them in the barrel and locking the bolt, firing, and pulling the bolt back... none of them had an issue extracting) I don't know whether that is a foretelling of things to come, but I bought a whole brick of the stuff... hope it doesn't keep that habit up. Seemed to be pretty accurate ammo (for the indoor purposes anyway)

I was shooting with my 27" bipod fully extended, standing upright, bipod on the plastic bench. Despite being a little less than stable, I had a blast, and turned out some really nice results. Best 5 shot groups were 1/4" - 3/8" center to center. (this was only at 50' though, we will have a real test with the rifle tomorrow)

congrats on a great rifle.
i have the Mk II BTV, and the first time i took it out to the desert to shot i put 500 rounds through it with just the 5 round mag. it was just so much fun to shoot. when ever my friends ask to shoot it they always get sucked in and want one.

I'll be at Angeles Shooting Range tomorrow with some buddies... I'm sure I'll attempt at least a couple shots out past the 200 yard line. :P I wonder how far my scope will take me before it runs out of elevation.

These things are a blast... I only have the factory 5 rounder thus far, though I might want a couple spares for trips to the range w/ friends. I'm tempted to try the 10 rounder too :P

On an off-note... I noticed today at the range that there is a small damaged spot in the finish on the gun. I thought there was a "droplet of wax" or something on the outside of the gun, and tried to push it off with my thumb nail. I think I've worn a very small hole through the finish... is there a product I can use (easily?) to patch this up without looking terrible?

I actually saw 'touch-up' marking pen things at Turner's yesterday, so you might wanna just grab a Sharpie and see what happens.....

I bought an additional 5 rounder for my MKII BRJ and wish I would have got a 10 rounder.
