sig 522 with commando hand guards

wondering if this will work on my 522? it is a genuine 552 part just curious if anyone knows?

552 handguards are to short. 556's will install without any modification.

thanks thats what I thought after reading that these would not fit on a 556

i dunno, the 522 is blowback is it not? the gas block is purely decorational so it might fit, you'd just have more barrel showing. sigs releasing a 522 commando anyway so you might want to do more research.

The hand guard will not/can not free float, so with out the gas block it's impossible to mount short hand guards. The Commando on the other hand looks interesting..
