    HELP Umarex M4 or M16?

can you guys tell me the pros and cons of the shorter and longer barrels of these two models? which barrel would be best for the federal bulk ammo etc. Or is there a better tactical .22 out there for about the same price as the Big 5 deal?

I'm no expert on 16/20" barrel length but my M16/Umarex 20" had no single issues with Fed Bulk, CCI, Wichester, Armscor. It did not like the Rem ammo except for the Remington "GOLDEN BULLETS" bulk. Goodluck.

Longer barrel faster velocity and longer straighter bullet. But from a 22lr it should be about the same. Cerritos ammo bro last day to pick up blazer 525 pack. Ammo works great cycled through all of my 22 rifles

yeah UFO I saw the gun the other day with that price which made me want one. But I was looking on youtube and the breakdown of those colts looks like a royal hassle. does anyone know how many minutes it takes to competely clean the colt. the S & W looks alot easier.

These rifles are accurate but the mags blow and maintenance is a complete hassle , my friend has one and its been a total brat. also the magazine system is not as smooth as it should be (they dont seat without a fight )

Look at the Sig 522, I think there are a couple of them forsale in the private firearms ads.

Broke in my friends M4 over the weekend. Took it to the range and we feed it about 300 rounds of CCI Mini Mags and only had 3 FTF. Once we added a little more oil to the bolt the issue went away. I was about to get the M4 but now that I see the Big 5 ad, I might just go for the M16 instead.

Honestly, the break down is not bad. The only real extra you have to do is unscrew the compensator with the included wrench. That releases tension on the firing pin. Once its broken down, the bolt carrier group and the trigger housing group are all enclosed, so there isn't really any maintenance there. I run a bore snake through mine and it is good to go. You can find some reviews on the net saying these are a ***** to break down, that the rear pin doesn't push out and it can crack the case, well these are people who didn't read the directions enough to find out about unscrewing the compensator. Don't let maintenance deter you, at that price it is a great deal, and you will get way more than $350 worth of fun out of shooting it and will definitely save enough in ammo costs to pay for itself.

Sig 522 is a great plinker, accurate, and just fun to shoot. The down side is it doesn't come with sights, but a cheap red dot will be a great investment for 30-35. They break open aka ar type rifles and the guts pull out easily. I've seen them as low as 379.00 on sale. For 100 more you can get the Swat model with an aluminum 4 rail system on it.

Thanks to this guy, I learned how to completely disassemble the Colt M4 .22
