    New Rifle need glass

Hey guys, I know this has been discussed a million times but hey, that's why we have a forum right? Just bought my new Savage MKII camo with heavy barrel. Looking to stay under $150, preferably under $100 for a scope for now. I have rings and it's fitted with a picatinny mount already.

What do you guys think? I've been looking at Mueller APV on the high end and BSA on the low end. This will be for 50% plinking, 25% target and 25% rabbit/squirrel hunting.

Here are some crappy iphone pics until I get her out of 10 day jail. $299 at Ammo Bros

      Nikon Prostaff Rimfire 4x32.

This website is for sale! nikonhunting.com is your first and best source for information about nikonhunting. Here you will also find topics relating to issues of general interest. We hope you find what you are looking for!

It has parallax fixed at 50 yards so its great for 22lr. Really nice glass for the money (about $100). I've had one on my 10/22 for years.

        I concur.

If you want a good deal on a scope, and you're not in a hurry, keep an eye on these two websites, and something you like may happen to pop up on sale:

+10 I doubt you will find better glass for the money. 10 times as good as a BSA, lifetime warranty, one of the best customer service in the industry. Paralax is adjustable down to 10 yds. I own an APV and their 8.5-25x44 AO and they are great. Best price: joeboboutfitters.com

A little over your $100 budget but shipping is free.

Might consider these 2. Both are closeouts. The BSA is nice for $50.00 shipped. Nikon is in the mail.

I'll recomend a Leapers 3-9x40 for under $70. Mil-dot, adjustable obj and looks good to boot...under $70 and holds zero great. My custom 10/22 has one an itworks great and has held zero for 1000's or rds...don't waste yer money on more scope!!

I am using BSA and Redfield for my 22lrs and considering the Nikon. I think all very fine scopes for the rifle

50 yards is not ideal for most shooting, you really want an adjustable objective with a .22lr since youll be shooting from 10-75 yards typically.

I have a mueller APV, and im not overly happy with it. I have 3 Bushnell banner 4-12's and like them more than the APV.

The APV is fine, but the Banners are a tad better in my opinion.
