Threaded barrel
Semi 22LR Pistol with detachable magazine=illegal, (Walther P22 fiasco).
Semi 22LR rifle=legal
'Cuz big holes are easier to see.
You can correct my spelling and grammar error anytime.
I welcome it. How else would I learn. -

I found a good deal on a KKM 1911 threaded barrel...Shoot Smallbore? Check out LAR&R in S. El Monte

What about a bolt action rimfire rifle with a threaded barrel? I really want a Sako Quad rifle with one or two threaded barrels. Varmint hunting out in the woods with one of these would be very fun.Threaded barrel

I found a seller on gunbroker who makes a muzzle brake for all four calibers and it's 50 state legal.Last edited by BlueDog333; 02-15-2011, 12:05 AM.Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy. Red loctite was good enough for S&W/Walther for when they had to recall all the AWs they sold in CA. And today, when you buy a P22, the barrel nut is just red loctited into place IIRC.
So, CADOJ allows S&W/Walther to use red loctite so as to not have a threaded barrel capable of accepting a .... , don't see why it wouldn't be acceptable for us to use the same thing, but I'd want it in writing first.Jack
Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Well if the DOJ allows red loctite, I'd also want that in writing from them, because red loctite isn't really that hard to remove.(I know the ATF's definition of permanent for a barrel attachment doesn't need to apply here, since the length isn't an issue, but with the way this state is, it's possible they'd treat it like elmers glue.)
I suppose a case could be made regarding the walther p22 barrel issue if you got busted for having a threaded barrel that had a nut only loctited into place.Last edited by Merc1138; 02-15-2011, 11:48 AM.Comment

There are a couple of 1911 model 22 LR's that have this issue and can't be put on the list here because of it...Comment
