    .22mag Polymer tip spitzer type

CCI/Federal sales these. I believe they are called v-max or tnt or something. They "kinda, sorta" have the Spitzer shape going for them, and have hollowpoint qualities as well as 30gr. 2200fps (out of rifle) performance. Just wondering if these could give longer barreled .22 mag pistols a decent, somewhat-larger-than-varmint capability.

if they get 1400 fps out of a 4" barrel single six ( i dont know if they do) I have pretty decent confidence in em.

when fired from a rifle length tube, the .22 WMR produces some very respectable ballistic velocities and is highly accurate.

I've often wondered why there are not more handguns offered in the .22 WMR.

I'm not sure why the .22 WMR is not accepted more than it is. my kid says: "i don't like paying $11.00 for 50, .22 rimfire rounds". could it be that simple? the polymer tipped rounds you mention are more like $20.00 for a box of fifty...YIKES!!!

These look like they would make a good hunting round and Midwayusa has the hornady v-max for 11.00 a box with the same ballistics as the CCI ammo
The best part of hunting and fishing was the thinking about going and the talking about it after you got back

A lot of people like them. I have never been able to find any of them that grouped consistently
in my 22Mag pistols or rifles. Every time I have tried them I end up with more of a shotgun pattern
on the target. The 40gr JHP has always been the most accurate and the most consistent for me.
Every gun is different though. Give them a try. They might work good for you.
