    Marlin model 60 msrp

Hello, I am in the market for a basic Marlin Model 60 in Southern California.

Anyone know where I can get a deal on one of these around the Los Angeles area?

Only place I know of is going to Turner's Outdoorsman OR head to Bass Pro off the 15 going to Las Vegas. Get off on Foot Hill and make a left if your coming from the 10. Last time I was at Bass Pro the variety they had was emence. You might check out that place first and do Turner's as a back up. Either way I'm sure you'll see one.

A friend (older gentlemen) of mine has one for I can get for $200.....it's been fired only a hand full of times.

Comes with a Marlin Case, Scope, and I think it has a checkered Walnut stock.

Was there any Model 60's available in this configuration within the last 10 years? Any what would it be worth?

You may want to go over to rimfirecentral.com and look at the Marlin forum, they may have some info on the different models. With tax, a new one, without a scope and case, would run you about $160 (not including DROS).

It may come down to the scope and case, the 4x15 scopes many came with don't really do much so they don't really add much to the deal. You may want to see what scope it is and then see what they go for to get a better idea.

Good luck, they are great little guns.

The checkered Walnut stock means it's probably a DX which would be a nice rifle.

I strongly recommend the DX model. I got mine for 210+tax and dros, and it is what helluva shooter.

The DX, or 50th anniversary model has checkered walnut stock like eyes mention, and is waaaay ahead in quality.

If you want a new Marlin 60, the anniversary model is the way to go.

That price (200) sounds like a fair price for what your getting. Love my 60's I have two.
