    S&W MP 15-22 ... buffer tube question

    Ok, I have a question.

    Just bought (used) a 15-22 at a great deal.. I noticed the "buffer" tube is molded to the lower reciever. Is this tube Mil or Commercial spec in terms of diameter?

    I ask because I have a few spare Magpul collapsable stocks laying around and I would like to put on on the .22 (assuming I can)

    Thoughts?

    Can't wait to shoot it, will save me a few bucks on shooting my .223 ARs..

      I believe it is Mil Spec. I replaced the stock buttstock on mine with a Magpul CTR (Mil Spec) and it fits perfectly...
