It's virtually impossible to 'wear out' a .22 barrel.

You'll do more damage to it cleaning it.
It cannot be inherited, nor can it ever be purchased.
You and no one alive can buy it for any price. It is impossible to rent and cannot be lent.
You alone and our own have earned it with...Your sweat, blood and lives. You own it forever.

    The title is....."United States Marine".

A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don't have one, you may never need one again.

I love S&W 41. I have two in the family. They will eventually make it to my safe.....but I'm willing to wait My mom has the original purchase order showing $58 (if memory serves). And it was bought using store credit.

Oh well there's always room for one more in the safe...
evildog is selling his with an extra set of grips for a really good price. i would grab it if i were you. once you buy it, all you need to do is replace the recoil spring, and clean the extractor groove than it should be good to go. it will eat just about anything you throw at it.

NVM looks like its SPF already.

This thread makes me want to pull out my Smith 41, take it to the range and start shooting it more often. That's great because that would save me lots of money on ammunition. I guess I should order a butt-load more online while I'm still able to.

Maybe we should have a Model 41 range day sometime.

where you live? i usually go every weekend and shoot a bulk box with my 41. every so often i will take a box of CCI SV to see my improvements.

the only think i dont like about the 41 is that there are many little areas that can attract a lot of crud and dirt. since i shoot large qt often and bulk box ammo are usually dirty, i have to detail strip and clean it very often. otherwise the junk buildup will cause corrosion.
