    Marlin 917VSF Questions

    Hi all,

I just bought this bolt action rifle, Marlin 917VSF....
I am trying to do the first time clean up before I shoot it at the range...
This is my first bolt action rifle...
Can anyone give me some advise or simple walk through?
    Thanks

Load up your ammo and go! Mine's a little tricked out, not much. The stock trigger sucks- gritty and heavy.

      Trigger

You might want to buy yourself a new trigger. I have the Rifle Basix MR-917 on mine and it works really nice. I can shoot the wings of a nat 150 yards now ever since I intalled that trigger and lightend her up.

RIFLE BASIX is a premier U.S. Manufacturer of Professional Grade Marlin Firearms rifle triggers for lever / bolt action styles. Easy DIY installation guide available.

Make sure the barrel is clear! Some mfg's will put a thick oil in the barrel to ship it.

        Then go and shoot it!
