    gsg sd shroud

Anyone turned in their "NFA" SD shroud? What is the turn around time frame? Difference between the old and new?

I went to their web site and ran my serial number. Seems I'm out of the recall range so no worries.

I sent mine back through Turners where I'd originally purchased it. Took about 3 months IIRC. I've heard it's much faster sending it back directly.

The new one has a second inner "shroud". Doesn't seem to make a whit of difference other than making someone at the BATFE happy.

3 months?! That was crazy! When was this?

Sent in my fake SD can when ATI first issued the recall. It took them about a week to send me the new compliant version in exchange (new one has an inner sleeve).
It was the 1st anniversary generation GSG5-SD.
If you have the 1-9/16” diameter shroud, take it off and look inside. If the shroud interior is one big hollow can, send it back!
