I picked up a new mag release from the guys at PWS while at the SAR show in Phoenix. It is pretty dang cool. It has ambi wings that sit at the front of the trigger guard, making a mag release easy without moving your grip. t was only $20. Just thought I would pass this on (I am not affiliated with PWS in any way).

New 10/22 Mag Release By PWS

You will enjoy it at the bench when you are constantly changing mags in a controlled environment but when you are in the field lets say hunting small game expect to pick a few magazines up off the ground. These releases are inadvertently hit/snagged by slings, clothing, body parts, ect. I tried all the cool after market mag releases over the years and found that just a small extended release is all one needs. Since they are a cinch to switch out and if yours gives you fits you can always use your OEM release when you are out in the bush and save your new one for the bench. Good luck!Comment
