    Remington Ammo Question

I was going through my ammo tub the other day and found 550 rounds of Remington Gold .22 Ammo. I know that it is a no-no in my M&P 15-22 but what about my 10-22's or my SR-22? Anybody have any experience with it. I would hate to see it go to waste. Then again I guess I could pull out my "old" Savage 25N bolt action and go to town (I say old because it was my first rifle from back in the late 80's).

I had lots of problems with it in my S&W 22A pistol but it was OK in one of my bolt rifles. At least it went bang, loaded and ejected OK. Accuracy, well it just ain't there. Good thing was I only bought one 50 round box just to see if my experience would be crappy like most other folks. Yep, won't buy anymore. Federal Automatch is much, much better in my pistol and rifles. Nearly match grade (think not quite as good as Wolf MT at half the price). Of course all 22s have their own likes and dislikes when it comes to ammo.

It should be fine in your 10/22. May stovepipe or something once in awhile, or not fire at all after several tries, but it shouldn't hurt anything. 10/22s seem to like almost anything with a functional primer.

Maybe I will load up my dual 25rd., slap it in my 10/22 and go to town.

I've had FTF and stovepiping with Remington golden bullet in 3 different 10/22 rifles at a rate of about 1 in 20 (FTF mostly).

Also had several FTF with them in a Ruger single-six.

I won't buy any more of this stuff.
