Red dot on a Kimber conversion

I would like to put a red dot rear sight on my Kimber conversion. Can anyone tell me if the rear dove tail is a BoMar or a Novak? I was thinking of a Fastfire sight mount and maybe a Fastfire or Doctor red dot. Or does anyone have a better idea. I'd like it to be low on the slide not high like an Aimpoint.

Can you even use a red dot optic on a conversion? I figured the extra weight would cause cycling problems?
